SC Interfaith Power and Light (SCIPL) operates as a program of Sustaining Way. We’re grateful to be included as one of the Angels of 2019 by the SC Office of the Secretary of State which honors organizations that exemplify charitable giving. The details are included in the press release below.
At the awards presentation today Melissa Dunlap, Deputy Secretary of State and Chief Legal Counsel, shared that Sustaining Way’s purpose is to create communities that provide for themselves while also providing for their future by bringing together education, collaboration, and workforce development to cultivate a thriving, sustainable community and environment. Sustaining Way’s flagship project, Annie’s House, is located in the Nicholtown Community of Greenville and serves as an education and demonstration site for sustainable practices such as backyard gardening, edible landscaping, home energy efficiency, renewable energy and water conservation. In 2017, Sustaining Way assumed responsibility for South Carolina Interfaith Power & Light, a statewide program that addresses climate change by engaging people of faith to work for a sustainable future.
We have the opportunity to receive a matching grant of $7,000, but must raise the $7,000 by December 16th! Will you help us continue our work by donating to support SCIPL today? Your donation will be matched dollar-for-dollar!
